Abstract:
Excerpt from the report: In this study of market outlets for raw cotton, the qualities and quantities of cotton used in the manufacture of basic cotton fabrics were determined. An earlier report, by the same title, issued in February 1950 gave the results of detailed laboratory tests and other facts pertaining to 10 fabrics. This report supplements the 1950 report by giving results of tests and other determinations with respect to 15 additional fabrics as follows: Flannel, gingham, chambray, seersucker, terry toweling, huck toweling, corduroy, jacquard bedspreads, non-jacquard bedspreads, drapery, carded uniform twill, combed uniform twill, other carded twills, carded Army sateen, and tire cord.
