Excerpt from the report Preface: Packaging of apples and various other fruits and vegetables in packages for consumers at shipping point is increasing. New materials and new methods are continually being developed. This study was made to help develop and evaluate the new materials as well as methods of applying them. It is part of a continuing program of research aimed at improving marketing efficiency of farm products.
