Abstract:
Forward : This Occasional Paper No.2 continues for a further two years the account contained in "A Record of Agricultural Policy 1947-1952" (Occasional Paper No.1). It covers the period from mid-1952 to mid-1954 when food rationing and price controls were gradually dismantled, and replaced by free markets, combined with various forms of minimum support prices.
