Farm Forestry Extension: What It Is and How It Works
W. K. Williams
No 308720, Agricultural Information Bulletins from United States Department of Agriculture, Economic Research Service
Abstract:
Excerpt from the report: Farmers have a large stake in the forest resources of the United States. Forest products from these lands have made substantial contributions to farm income and to our standard of living. Our per capita consumption of forest products is the highest in the world. This calls for the highest production from all forest holdings. The application of sound management practices will assure larger timber crops, increased income and continuous production of saw timber, pulpwood and other forest products.
