Abstract:
Excerpts from the report: This is one of the series of annual reports designed to facilitate the orderly marketing of cotton. It contains information on fiber characteristics and spinning performance of cotton produced by growers organized for cotton quality improvement. One purpose of the annual cotton quality surveys is to assist cotton merchants and manufacturers in locating sources of cotton having the fiber characteristics and spinning performance desired for specific end uses. Another is to supply information to persons studying the relationships between the various measures of fiber quality and processing performance.
