This bulletin— 1. Defines exchangeable sodium. 2. Describes the effects of exchangeable sodium on soil properties and the growth of plants. 3. Gives the relative tolerance of some crops to exchangeable sodium. 4. Explains how crop growth can be improved on sodic soils.
