November 1977 Baseline: Intermediate Outlook Projections for Research Purposes

Abstract: Excerpts from the paper: The purpose of this document is to provide researchers a consistent set of interrelated projections for the crop, livestock, and farm income sectors. More recent estimates of crop supplies and disposition for the coming marketing year appear in the latest of Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates. Table 1 projects general economy and crop yield variables. The former are proffered by the National Economics Analysis Division (NEAD) and reflect output from the Wharton Econometric Model. Yield estimates have been computed by analysts in the Commodity Economics Division (CED) according to Yield Committee guidelines. Price and income support projections appear in tables 2 and 3; national program acreages, in table 4.
