Abstract:
Excerpt from the report Preface: "Canning and freezing" apples are a significant source of income to many apple producers. Historically, farm prices of apples going into these outlets have fluctuated widely from year to year. In recent years, however, only a few empirical studies have been made to explain these price variations. This publication attempts to isolate and measure the major factors associated with changes in farm prices of canning and freezing apples. Information of this nature should aid producers and processors in making marketing decisions.
