Abstract:
Excerpt from the report Introduction: This report analyzes selected characteristics of persons in U.S. farm operator households in relation to the 1964 farm operator level-of-living index. These characteristics include age, color, sex, educational attainment of persons in these households, and size of farm business in terms of gross sales. Income data are analyzed for 30 counties selected for special study. The relationship of various characteristics of the population to level of living is a factor relevant to economic and social development programs.
