China's Cotton Area, Yield, and Production by Province: A Partial Data Set

Abstract:
A variety of Chinese sources were used to estimate China's cotton acreage and production by province for selected years from 1957 to 1980. Peculiarities of Chinese data sources and practices in reporting cotton area and production are briefly discussed. Sources for all estimates are presented.
