Abstract: Excerpt from the report: This report shows the changes in bread prices, margins, and costs from 1947-49 through 1961. It is one of several reports on food marketing costs and margins prepared by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and is part of a broad program of research designed to reduce the cost of marketing farm products.
