Government Program and Commercial Exports in Calendar Year 1963

Abstract: U.S. exports of agricultural commodities reached a record $5,584 million (preliminary) in calendar year 1963, $550 million above 1962 and $2,385 million above 1955, the first calendar year during which shipments were made under P.L. 480. About $450 million of the increase over 1962 was in dollar sales and nearly $100 million consisted of increased exports under Government-financed programs.
