Excerpt from the Preface: The main purpose of this paper is to provide a general, non-technical discussion of the growth and development of corn and how it is affected by weather. It was written particularly for the use of country analysts who are concerned with corn production in foreign countries, as well as for anyone else interested in the growth and development of the crop.
