Abstract:
This is a summary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Agency for International Development progress in implementing the recommendations made to the President of the United States in a February 1970 report on improving food production and distribution in the low-income nations. These recommendations focused on the need for more U.S. support for international agricultural research, (2) soil and water programs, (3) agricultural training for foreign agriculturists, and (4) the upgrading of institutional competence of central governments, especially ministries of agriculture.
