Abstract:
Rural communities benefited from Federal regulatory reform of interstate trucking in 1980. Four years after the abolition of most Federal regulations, more rural communities were served by trucking companies than before and they were served by more trucking companies than before. State deregulation of intrastate trucking yielded less striking benefits.
