Rural Counties Lead Urban in Education Spending, But Is that Enough?

Abstract:
Rural counties outspend urban counties on per pupil education, according to recent data. But that doesn't necessarily mean that rural schools produce better students since there's no proven correlation between spending and student performance. Furthermore, many rural counties are quite a bit below average nonmetro spending levels.
