CONSORTIUM ON TRADE RESEARCH: IMPERFECT COMPETITION, MARKET BEHAVIOR, AND AGRICULTURAL TRADE POLICY ANALYSIS
International Economics Division
No 276787, Staff Reports from United States Department of Agriculture, Economic Research Service
Abstract:
International markets for agricultural commodities are not perfectly competitive, and the usual assumptions underlying the perfectly competitive model of market behavior do not hold for these markets. The fourth meeting of the Consortium on Trade Research, held on December 17-19, 1981, examined international commodity market structure, market behavior, and how Government policy decisions affect pricing and trade of agricultural commodities.
