Abstract:
Land-use data are collected by many Federal agencies. Concepts, definitions, and classifications of land use vary among agencies because agencies generate data generally for their own purposes. Characteristics of major data sources are reviewed in the context of establishing a county land-use file for national/regional policy analysis.
