Pesticide Use on Grain Sorghum in the Major Producing States, 1980

Abstract: In 1980, grain sorghum growers in six major producing States applied 14.8 million pounds (active ingredient) of pesticides in 12.2 million acre-treatments. Of the total quantity, 11.8 million pounds were herbicides and 3 million were insecticides. Coefficients of variation were computed for acres treated with specific pesticides and mixes of pesticides.
