Agricultural and Home Economics Extension in the United States: A Selected List of References
Cora L. Feldkamp
No 319753, USDA Miscellaneous from United States Department of Agriculture
Abstract:
Excerpt from the Preface: Agricultural and hone economics extension work as conducted under the Smith-Lever Act has been in operation since 1914. In the meantime, numerous publications on this method of teaching have been issued. The accompanying list, compiled by Cora L. Feldkamp, Librarian of the Office of Experiment Stations, is an attempt to meet an increasing need for a convenient list of references on the subject. In the compilation of the list it has been the aim of the compiler to include references that would aid in tracing the development of extension work. The references on farmers’ institutes include only the more important ones, and the references on farm bureaus refer to the county-agent work as conducted under the Smith-Lever Act.
