Elizabeth Gould Davis
No 319873, USDA Miscellaneous from United States Department of Agriculture
Abstract:
Excerpt from the Preface: This list contains selected references to material on the historical, sociological, economic, and philosophical aspects of rural electrification in the United States. The bulk of the material appeared between 1933 and 1953, but some of the more important developments before 1933 are included. Technical and engineering phases of rural electrification are included only when there is a direct bearing on costs or other factors affecting distribution of electricity. Appliances and their use are included when their effects on farm production and rural life are emphasized.
