Abstract: This handbook is a compilation and summary of farm commodity and resource programs for which price support, stabilization, and related programs are administered by the Department of Agriculture. Primarily, these authorities are vested in the Secretary of Agriculture and the Commodity Credit Corporation, with the personnel and facilities of the Agricultural and Stabilization and Conservation Service utilized to administer specific commodity and land use programs. Other functions are assigned by the Secretary to the Office of the Sales Manager, Foreign Agricultural Service, the Agricultural Marketing Service, the Food and Nutrition Service, and other agencies as required.
