A Preliminary List of Latin American Periodicals and Serials

Abstract: This preliminary list was prepared primarily as an aid in filling gaps in the collection of this Library. It includes holdings of titles issued in Latin American countries. Ceased, complete files are marked with an asterisk. Frequency is given when known. Entries are given as found in the Library catalog, no effort was made to check each current title with the latest issue received for current changes. Cross references are used to bring all titles of one issuing office, society, etc. together; former and subsequent titles are given when known. The absence of the library call number in the right column indicates that the publication was not yet cataloged. When large gaps occur, or irregularity of issuance prevented ascertaining the wanting numbers, holdings only are given; otherwise, the inclusive volumes and dates are given, with the wanting numbers in parentheses. "To date" is used instead of the date of the latest issue for all periodicals currently received. Holdings given are as of November 1942.
