Abstract:
Excerpts from the Preface: This bibliography updates Bibliographies and Literature of Agriculture Number 35 issued August 1985. Most of this update is new material. The purpose of the bibliography is to provide sources of information on practical aquaculture literature. The intended audience includes fish farmers, aquaculture specialists, educators, librarians, information professionals, students, Federal and State personnel, and the private sector. Topics cover aquaculture species and subjects; selected periodicals, newsletters, books, bibliographies, directories, and State publications; State extension specialists in aquaculture and fish and wildlife; associations; and the Regional Aquaculture Centers. These topics are separated in the bibliography as follows: Part I: Species -- Part II: Subjects -- Part III: Other Types of Publications -- Part IV: Contacts in Aquaculture -- Part V: Addresses for Publication. The majority of documents cited within this bibliography are "how-to" publications. Each bibliographic citation is annotated to provide the user with a summary of the publication content, followed by a short address regarding publication availability.
