No 366878, USDA Miscellaneous from United States Department of Agriculture
Abstract:
Excerpt from the Statement of Secretary of Agriculture Orville L. Freeman before a meeting of the National Dairy and Milk Products Advisory Committee Dec. 18, 1961, Washington, D.C: I want to express my appreciation to all of you for coming here and for advising with us. Walking down the hall, I was thinking about the first time I ever tried to milk a cow. It was in the middle of winter -- I was 5 or 6 years old -- and I ended up in the gutter, and it wasn't a clean gutter either. It was one of those experiences you remember. But I learned to milk a cow.
