Abstract:
Auction market pricing of feeder cattle and calves, slaughter cows and slaughter bulls are examined for seven South Dakota auction locations. Pricing factors examined include auction location, time, lot size, weight, sex and breed. Feeder cattle pricing models (R2=0.73) performed better than pricing models for slaughter cows or bulls.
