Abstract: Rapid economic growth has led to a rapid increase in beef consumption in both Taiwan and South Korea. Although increasing, beef production has lagged behind consumption providing an incentive to import. A number of barriers, however, currently limit U.S. access to those markets. The research required to reduce or eliminate each barrier is discussed.
