The Whistleblower. Evolution and Perspectives

Abstract: Though different nations have different whistleblower protection laws, many of them offer protection to those who report wrongdoing. We'll examine in the present study some of the various warning provisions at European level and the national level. The whistleblower Protection Directive was adopted by the EU in 2019 - Directive (Eu) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law. The adoption of laws implementing the Directive is still a work in progress for EU Member States. In the current study we will make an analysis over Romania case.
