Abstract:
The research article entitled “Some aspects regarding the role and powers of the prefect†is analysing a traditional institution in Romania, naming here the prefect. The prefect is the representative of the Government, at local level, and leads the decentralized public services, of the ministries and the other central public administration bodies of the administrative-territorial units. The important role that the prefect plays in public administration architecture in Romania and present concerns are debated in the article.
