Abstract: This editorial, signed by the Editor in Chief of the Academic Journal of Law and Governance, introduces the journal's aims and then presents the Romanian Academic Society of Administrative Sciences - its founding members, its legal constitution in March 2008 under Government Ordinance no. 26/2000, and its general and specific objectives. The second part reviews the ten annual conferences organised between 2008 and 2017 together with the National School of Political Studies and Public Administration, the Romanian Institute of Public Law and Administrative Sciences and the National Council of Scientific Research, listing each conference's title, date, scientific sections, debated topics and mottos.
