Abstract: The article systematizes the classification of types of adaptation and professional orientation of personnel. The most recognized grouping of adaptations is based on the areas of production and non-production activities. Due to the greatest practical significance, the types of industrial adaptation and vocational guidance, related indicators and adaptation measures are considered in detail.
