Abstract: Argentina spends more than 8% of GDP on health care services, one of the highest levels in Latin America. Even though all people have access to the services offered by the public sector, the achievements seem meager compared to the resources allocated to the sector. Additionally, the distribution of coverage and access to services is inequitable. This document provides a series of arguments that are a basis for discussing the challenges to improve efficiency and promote equal rights on health care services.
