Management of intellectual property in Russian universities: formation and development of the system

Abstract: Article is devoted to the problems which Russian higher education institutions face at management of intellectual property and to searching optimum ways of their solution. the reasons for low activity of higher educational institutions in the field of protection and commercialization of R&D results are analyzed; the European experience of management of intellectual property rights of universities is investigated. Recommendations on more effective management of intellectual property in a university are elaborated.
