Abstract: "The Demon-Haunted World ..." is the last work of the famous astrophysicist and science writer K. Sagan. It covers a wide variety of topics related to the scientific method, critical thinking and pseudoscience How to learn to think critically? Can scientists be wrong? Answers to these and many other questions can be found in the book. The publication critically interprets both superstitious beliefs and pseudoscientific theories. The main emphasis in the book is on skeptical thinking, the fine line between science and pseudoscience. K.Sagan focuses on the methods of hypothesis testing.
