Abstract:
The article deals with the development of S&T and education reform by comparing the experience of Ireland and the Czech Republic – two EU countries, belonging to different European regions, but solving similar problems in the course of reforms in science and education. Aftera brief historical review of the policies of the two countries in the field of science and education, attempts were made to identify common and specific features in the way of establishing the links between S&T and educational systems. The results of these transformations were finally summarized.
