Regional Innovation Policy: the International Experience

Abstract: The article is devoted to the international experience of regional innovation policy. Classification of regions according to the accessibility of the region, capacity for the absorption technology and diffusion of knowledge is considered. The regional aspect of the basic tools of OECD countries’ innovation policy is determined in the article. A list of activities to increase the participation of Russian regions in the development and implementation of innovation policies is formulated.
