Abstract:
The article describes the current situation on the Russian pharmaceutical market, in particular provision of medicines. It is well-known that Russia is one of the leading importers of medicines in the world. According to the carried out analysis the author suggests 2 ways to decrease the influence of the main exporters of medicines on Russia (EU, the USA, Switzerland): diversification of medicine supplies and growth in medicine imports from amicable counties (for example, from China and India). The main goal of this article is to consider the prospects of the Russian-Chinese medicine cooperation. The article analyzes the trade in medicines between the countries, attractiveness of both pharmaceutical markets as well as the main barriers that Russian/Chinese producers might face entering the market.
