Abstract:
The authors analyze the role of Russian Railways to foreign economic relations of Russia.They consider the degree of participation of PJSC «Russian Railways» to provide foreign trade transportation and transport the international transit of goods. Also they analyze the ratio of volumes of transportations of export, import and transit traffic by rail in 2015 relative to 2014.They determine the amount and proportion of the basic directions of the international transport of goods: in countries near and far abroad, through the railway border crossings and by sea and river ports and analyze foreign trade and transit by rail through the ports of Russia, CIS and Baltic ports. They try to identify the main types of cargo transported by rail through the ports of Russia and CIS countries and the basic trend of international rail freight traffic in Russia by the main directions.
