Abstract:
Being one of the most rapidly developing regions on the planet Latin America is of particular interest for Russia’s foreign policy. Today, in conditions of mature trade-economic collaboration between the Russian Federation and the leading countries of Latin America, the region faces political instability and the decrease in socioeconomic position. The article devoted to the commercial and economic relationships between Russia and Latin America, long-term prospects of the Russia’s presence there and also the safety of the Russian investments in case the governments change. The author comes to the conclusion that the region is of great significance for Russia not only as a trade-economic partner but also as an ideological and geopolitical one.
