Abstract:
In the article, the authors consider recent trends and prospects of exports of US capital in the form of foreign direct investment (FDI) (or USDIA) and analyze the flows of US FDI into the Russian economy. Particular emphasis is placed on identifying the main reasons for the small volumes of American foreign direct investment into various sectors of the Russian economy. Besides, the authors examine the opportunities for attracting USDIA in view of the imposed sanctions against Russia (by EU and USA) and inauguration of the new U.S. president Mr. Donald J.Trump and make not very optimistic conclusions in regard of Russian-American investment collaboration for the next few years.The authors also have analyzed the main trends and prospects of USDIA into Russian economy at the present moment and also are considered the new prospects of attracting of USDIA in terms of imposing economic and political sanctions in 2015-2016 towards Russia (from EU and USA),especially in light of the inauguration of the new U.S. Mr.President Donald J.Trump and as well as there were made conclusions concerning ‘not good’ prospectives of Russian-American investment collaboration between two countries for a next few years. At the end of the article the authors have noticed that there are formulated the main factors constraining the big inflow of USDIA into our country. The Authors as well as have studied the main problems in American - Russian investment collaboration and showed all these problems in this scientific article, and it have been made the main conclusions arising from this study in the end of the article.
