Convergence mechanisms for national electric power complexes within the Eurasian Economic Union

Abstract: The article is devoted to the development of the Eurasian economic union, within the frame-work of which it is planned to create common markets for fuel and energy resources. The study analyzes the main problems associated with convergence of national electric power complexes into a single supranational structure of the EAEU. The author proposes the mechanisms of the most effective convergence that require creation of a supranational parity body, harmonization of national legislation in the field of electric power and establishment of a supranational body responsible for managing the energy system of the Eurasian economic union.
