Abstract:
The authors consider the economic impact of the World Wide Web on the development of the economy, on the improvement and introduction of digital technologies, point to the impact of Internet use on the growth rate of the economy, note the intensive dissemination of developments and the use of the Internet of things, resulting in a new level of industrial development - “Industry 4.0”. At the same time, special attention is paid to the development of this new direction of industrial development. In conclusion, the areas of use of new information technologies in Russia are examined using the example of individual enterprises.
