Abstract:
The article examines peculiarities of competitive relations between businesses. Special attention is paid to the revision of traditional views on the balance between competition and collaboration. Competitive collaboration is correlated with the objective and subjective reasons; it affords to bring additional advantages to the partners. The model of competitive collaboration improves a theory of competition, adding new issues to it. One of the main forms of the competitive collaboration is strategic alliance. Competitive relations in the alliance are developing in several areas. It is recommended not to overestimate the positive aspects of alliances. Their development is accompanied by several problems. The other famous form of collaboration for companies-competitors, examined in the article, is to be consortium and in their activity searching for mutually profitable collaborative forms is of special importance.
