Abstract:
The article considers trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan, analyzes trade relations between the countries and the trade structure. The priority areas of cooperation and the key aspects of economic cooperation development, in particular in regional cooperation and cross-border trade, are highlighted. Special attention is paid to the most important development stages of bilateral relations. Besides, major projects in the energy, industrial, infrastructure and transport areas are listed.The economic cooperation between the two countries has been rapidly developing, not only within the framework of bilateral relations, but also within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. Kazakhstan is the initiator and active participant in this integration process. Russia and Kazakhstan are the main and important trading partners in the EAEU.
