Towards Improvement of Russia's Travel and Tourism Competitiveness

Abstract: International travel and tourism is one of the most successful industries of the world economy now. In many cases it helps countries to diversify economies and improve their competitiveness. But standard approaches to attract foreign tourists are not enough nowadays. The winner in the race is the one with more strive for creativity and ingenuity. New approaches in tourism are highly needed. Rural tourism is an example that shows the way of implementing innovations in tourism industry in Russia. Foreign experience of the world travel and tourism new approaches is summarized. The state of indoor tourism in Russia is analyzed and projections of its growth are given
