PARTICULARITIES OF THE POPULATION, OCCUPATION AND STRUCTURE OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN ROMANIA AND ITS WESTERN REGION

Abstract:
Amid a slow process, but continually aging and a trend of increased migration is a decrease in the active population and employment. Productive structure has undergone several changes in recent years, with a mild increase in service sector, what has changed the occupational structure. The phenomenon of marginalization and poverty has increased especially among groups at risk. Low rates of participation in education and training, at all levels of age, especially in rural areas, generating a low skilled labor in Romania. Developing regions is not uniform, so that the western region it is noted by a better employment and unemployment default, benefiting from a labor force more flexible, adapt quickly to market requirements, with a high entrepreneurial spirit, against the backdrop of economic growth recorded in the previous years.
