The Experiences of some Arab and International Countries in the Application of E-Government

Abstract: In light of tremendous technological and scientific developments in the field of information and communication technology that led to the spread of the Internet, which helped to enter the world into the information age, the concept of (e-government) emerged recently as a result of the changes and developments witnessed by the world to improve services provided by the government sector, so this study dealt with providing a theoretical framework to identify the concept of e-government, its importance, characteristics, advantages, stages of application and challenges faced, with a review of some Arab and international experiences in the field of application of e-government, which can be followed in Libya. The study relied on the inductive method, and some conclusions were reached which may contribute to the recognition of the importance of applying e-government in organizations and put some recommendations in the same frameworks.
