Abstract: In the article mechanisms for public administration were examined, analysis was performed in order to receive evaluation of their implementation in current conditions and to find prospects for development in the future. Main aims and tasks of mechanisms for public administration concerning social and economic development of territories were determined. New approaches towards development of strategic relationships between the state and the regions were established. Possible scenarios that impact regions were formed. Formation of program on mutual cooperation and conclusion of agreements on regional development taking into consideration priority areas of the country’s European integration.
