Evstropyeva Oksana

International Journal for Responsible Tourism, 2013, vol. 2, issue 3, 54-63

Abstract: This article provides an overview of the ethno-recreational resources and preliminary analysis of the potential for development of endogenous tourism in the Baikal region. The study is based on the up-to-date understanding of the traditional culture and way of life of indigenous people living in the region. An integrated approach is used for the detection and identification of ethno-recreational complexes, which are the objects and phenomena related to the traditions and culture of the peoples around Lake Baikal (Russians, Buryats,Evenks, Tofalars, Soyots).
