An Empirical Study on the Degree of China Trust Market Competition Based on Panzar-Rosse Model

Abstract: The paper has an empirical study on the degree of China trust market competition based on Panzar-Rosse model, using the panel data of 43 trust companies during the year of 2008-2012.The empirical result shows that China trust has market structure of monopolistic competition. Furthermore, the paper reveals the factors leading to China turst market structure of monopolistic competition, which includes the declining trend in the degree of China turst market concentration, prominent homogenization of trust products, and obvious features of the administrative region segmentation.
